Ahran, sans wings. Ahran's story is more similar to Deyna's than she knows. His is loyal to a fault for good reason, but he is deeply empathetic. At the beginning of Halfling the two traits are at war with each other.

Shiny Things 4/17/2015

(Random) Things distracting me this week.

Hoodies. Just in case you haven’t realized how weird I am, I love hoodies! To wear definitely. But mostly on other people. I think they turn ordinary people into objects of mystery. Guy or girl, there’s something about the nature of concealment. The banal everyday is transformed into a puzzle. That regular high school student is secretly on the run from the law (due to some undeserved misfortune of course). The soccer mom is living a double life as a police informant. My writer’s heart and mind spins at the possibilities. I hope they never go out of style!
People singing in cars on the internet. This trend drives me crazy. Why? Why record yourself singing in the car? Does the enclosed nature act as a makeshift recording booth? Does the road noise make people sound better? Where do they put the phone/camera? Is it smart to drive and sing well? Sooner or later, I’m afraid there will be an accident. I can just see the news: three people injured because driver was trying to sing professionally while driving. If it keeps up, they may need an acronym for it. DWS? Driving While Singing? Can someone explain this to me?
I’m still working on extras for my Halfling page. More heraldic symbols, maps and other tidbits to come!
Happy Friday!
