My newsletter subscribers know this, (please subscribe. I only post infrequently, no spamming I promise!)but the reason I haven’t blogged for so long–and haven’t added any videos to my youtubechannel, is because I have two books coming out very soon! The third and fourth books, in the Chimera Chronicles series will be released by Soul Mate Publishing in May and July respectively!
The Chimera Chronicles are about seven shapeshifting brothers who were separated as young children. In each book, they find each other and love. Chimeras, they can shift into dragons or lions and have the talents of both, even while in human form. A frightening counterpoint to all this power–if they don’t find their mates soon, they will lose themselves to their creatures and become lost in dragon or lion form for the rest of their lives.
Book 3 The Lion’s Share focuses on Connor, who may or may not be the third youngest brother of the Chimera siblings (You’ll have to read the book to understand why I put it that way). I was super eager to write his book, because it was inspired by “The Night Shifter” episode of the TV show Supernatural. It’s one of my favorite shows. I love Sam and Dean!
Now, of course, my shifters are good, so instead of being hunted in a bank during a bank robbery like in the episode, our hero has been blackmailed into the robbery.
The draft blurb: Former Army Ranger and chimera shifter, Connor Gunn is fighting a battle with his lion side. Just released from prison for a crime he didn’t commit, the last thing he needs is to get blackmailed into a bank robbery with his twin brother Tyler.
Worse, there’s an FBI agent already in the bank and she affects him as no woman ever has, awakening his body and drawing his lion even more perilously close to the surface.
FBI agent Embry Lane has learned a few things over the course of her six years with the bureau. 1. The FBI is more than a career. 2. Men are nice for a distraction, but eventually they leave. 3. No man can match up to the lover who comes to her dreams at night anyway. When she runs into Connor in the street her instant attraction to him makes her doubt what she’s learned–until she meets him in the bank wearing a tactical mask with a rifle in his hands.
Trapped in the bank, Connor and Embry must fight for the hostages and battle their attraction, because with SWAT outside and enemies within, one wrong move could see them all dead.
