Shiny things week of January 7

1. Castle: I started watching Castle, and I love it, but something drives me crazy about the show. They never clear rooms. They’re supposed to be police officers. Police officers clear and secure the crime scene before investigating. But since they don’t, they’re frequently getting taken by surprise by bad guys. whenever this happens, I grit my teeth and cover my face with my hands. I know, I know, it’s written that way, but just saying…

2. I have Last Kiss Goodnight and Enchanted Ever After burning holes in my kindle app, but no time to read. Ahh!

3. Undisputed 3: I love low budget action movies and I especially loved this one. Scott Adkins is a British martial artist/actor and he’s totally fun to watch. I get so sick of all the CGI in the big budget fight movies. It’s awesome to watch these guys (especially Scott, quite literally, fly!)

4. My WIP, IN SPIRIT: My heroine is a psychic medium– She sees dead people, but she has been working as a lawyer, until a scandal at her workplace (where she was the innocent party) has sent her running home. Home is Lilydale, NY, famous for it’s mediums. Despite this fact, she had a hard time in high school and after a slumber party gone wrong got a cruel nickname. The problem is–I don’t know what the nickname is. My brain is a blank and I don’t want to change her name, which is Devon Daughtry. Sooooo, I’m opening it up for suggestions. And if I use your suggestion, I’ll give you a coupon code for Soul Mate to get the first ebook in the series IN LIKE A LION, for free. (if I get duplicates, it’ll go to the first person to have suggested the name)

Ok? Ready? Go!

Attending RWA National Conference? Live near Anaheim, CA? Come say, Hi!

I will be signing my vampire Romance BLOOD AND KISSES at the RWA National Conference Literacy signing on Wednesday July 25 at the Anaheim convention center. It’s a great cause — part of the proceeds go to promote literacy — and lots of big name authors will be there! Besides moi*g* , there will be Christina Dodd, Alyssa Day, Lyndsay Sands, Jayne Ann Krentz, Rebecca York, Robin Owens, Nalini Singh, Alexandra Ivy and so many more, it would take forever to list them.

And for those who like my SFR, but aren’t into vampires and witches, please stop by and say hi, anyway. I would love to meet you!
